Villages and the kava experience
Vanuatu's culture can only truly be experienced by spending time in the local villages. a drink of Vanuatu's traditional "kava" is a must for any visitor. Beachcomber is situated close to villages that welcome visitors, and love sharing traditional cooking, crafts and there lifestyle. you are welcome to spend time exploring the village or have the local take you on tours of the surrounding area. as a bonus they will often play there local "string band" music

World War II relics beachcomber is adjacent to the site of a major US of A bomber base used during WWII. visit some of the existing relics including the runway (still in use for light aircraft), aeroplane wreckage, the giant "USA" coral mounds, and the channel carved into the coral to allow the ships passage.
